Homebound with Covid, but Healing and Hopeful

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to check in and let you know I’ve been laying low this past week after testing positive for Covid. It definitely knocked me down for the count initially, but thankfully I’m on the upswing now and feeling a bit more like myself each day.

The first few days were rough, with fever, fatigue, and a cough that wouldn’t quit. But with rest, fluids, and some over-the-counter meds, I’m slowly but surely getting back on my feet. I’ve been binge-watching some comfort shows, catching up on reading, and generally taking it easy.

One silver lining of this whole experience has been the chance to slow down and simply be. Our lives are often so busy and hectic, it’s rare to have the opportunity to just pause and recharge. I’m trying to embrace this unexpected downtime and focus on taking care of myself.

I’m also grateful for the incredible support I’ve received from family and friends. The texts, calls, and care packages have meant the world to me and helped me feel less isolated during this time.

While I’m eager to get back to my normal routine, I’m also trying to listen to my body and not push myself too hard too soon. I’m taking it day by day and celebrating the small victories, like being able to get out of bed without feeling completely exhausted.

I’m confident I’ll make a full recovery and be back to my old self in no time. In the meantime, I’m sending virtual hugs to everyone and wishing you all good health and happiness.

Stay safe and take care!
